Does Air Travel Affect Your Skin?

I read this fascinating article from Everyday Health and they noted some important information about how air travel affects your skin.

Some tips they mention about how to handle the dehydration of the plan itself on your skin are as follows:

1.  Drink Plenty of Water - this helps keeps your body and your skin hydrated.  You will want to stay away from beverages that contain contain and/or alcohol as they may increase dehydration during travel.

2.  Moisturizer - Be sure to use moisturizer on your hands during travel so you can maintain the moisture in your skin while in flight.

3. Eye Drops - If your eyes are sensitive to dry conditions you will want to bring eye drops (or perhaps get a prescription from your Doctor).  This will help add moisture back to your eyes if necessary.

4. Nasal Sprays - Dry air cabin can cause nasal irritation and sometimes nosebleeds.  If you have nasal spray available, it will help with the lining of your nasal cavity during the flight.

5.  Asthma Medication - For those who have asthma, you will want to make sure that your asthma medication is in your carry on bag and available if you need it during the flight.

I found these travel tips to be very helpful.

How about you?  What else can you do while flying to avoid having negative health effects during the flight?
